SilkAir is the regional wing of Singapore Airlines fly's direct from Singapore to Manado, four times per week every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Baggage Allowance on Singapore Airlines/Silk Air flights
The normal allowance on Singapore Airlines / Silk Air is 20kg of baggage. However, it also offers you a generous extra allowance of up to 10kg excess baggage specifically for diving equipment. Here is an extract from page 13 of the Singapore International Airlines timetable 2002-2003: "10kg excess baggage is allowed for Silk Air customers with diving equipment travelling to...Manado."
HOWEVER, to obtain this allowance, there is something you must do: once your flight is confirmed, make sure to ask your booking agent to phone Singapore Airlines to inform them that you are a diver and to make sure that your 10kg excess allowance is put against your booking reference. Also, you must pack your diving equipment into a SEPARATE bag (one 20kg bag per couple is acceptable). Remember, anything more than 30kg and you will be charged excess baggage - which is not cheap!
